Job Overview
The Business Development Manager will be at the forefront of identifying and securing new business opportunities, thus propelling Scan-Shipping to greater heights.
Your role is pivotal, focusing on hunting new business avenues, prospecting potential clients, and providing exceptional customer service to foster long-lasting relationships.
You will be the face of Scan-Shipping at trade events, a key role that bridges the company with potential clients and industry stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Devise and implement strategies to hunt and secure new business opportunities, thereby contributing to the company's growth and market share.
- Prospect potential clients through research, networking, and cold calling, creating a robust pipeline of business opportunities.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing queries and concerns efficiently and fostering lasting relationships with clients.
- Diligently update and manage the company's CRM, ensuring accurate recording of client data and interactions.
- Represent Scan-Shipping at trade events, exhibitions, and seminars, effectively networking and promoting the company's offerings.
- Collaborate with various departments to develop customized solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
- Analyze market trends and competitors to inform business strategies and identify areas for expansion and innovation.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, including trends, outcomes, and future plans.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the Freight forwarder or NVOCC Industry .
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software to manage and analyze customer data and interactions.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
- Willingness to travel for attending trade events and client meetings.
- Proactive, with an eye for identifying new business opportunities and establishing fruitful business relationships.
