Ability to lead PCB specs release in qualification and in PDM. Support qualification of electronic components such as IGBTs, magnetics, thyristors, AC / DC capacitors, FANs, etc. Knowledge of test equipment, CRO, AC Source, DC Source, Auto transformers, Multimeters, Data loggers. Ability to design and implement PCB designs that meet electrical, EMC, Safety, mechanical, thermal and DFA / DFM requirements of the system. Ability to run independent tests, with good knowledge in basic troubleshooting of products. Ability to generate alternate solutions during feasibility studies during PCB modifications. Prior experience working with design packages and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools is required (more specifically Allegro and Windchill PDM or similar processes). Ability to work cross-functionally (i.e. with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering, Project Management) is strongly desired. Detail oriented : able to accurately follow precise procedures and thoroughly complete assigned tasks by using strong follow-up skills. 4 Year Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Knowledge of Ladder Logic GE Proficy Software or Modicon Control Expert Software would be ideal. Proficient computer skills including : MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access Communication with all levels of management in verbal and written form. Our client, a well-known energy management company, is urgently looking to add an Electrical Engineer II to join their team — hybrid in Andover, MA. This is a temporary support role through year end, W2 contract offering a full benefits package. This role will be Hybrid, Mon / Thu in office. 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities
- Work within a global collaborative R&D team to create and improve printed circuit board designs using Cadence design systems (Allegro).
- Release projects to manufacturing by creating schematic design capture, new part numbers, detailed descriptions, and printed board assemblies (BOM structures) for new and legacy products or projects.
- Work within the Windchill PDM application tool to store fabrication documentation, schematics, gerber files etc.
- Resolve differences between design and fabrication requirements by making determinations such as modifying designs versus sending parts back to vendors.
- Attend regular team meetings, including engineering change order meetings in support of manufacturing & quality assurance analysis and correction of manufacturing defects.
- Work collaboratively with other engineering resources, project management, purchasing etc. and assist in applying core engineering concepts to solve complex, unfamiliar, and novel problems.
- Expected to work with minimal assistance, with an ability to suggest innovative solutions from streamlining processes to completing a backlog of tasks.
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with applicable regulations and standards.
