Software Engineer, Identity & Access Management (New Grad)

About the Role

As a member of our Risk Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in developing our risk architecture and platform to enhance our understanding and protection of our members.

You will collaborate on designing risk system architecture and work closely with our Machine Learning and Risk Operations teams.

This position offers the opportunity to engage with a broad range of the tech stack, from creating new API architectures to implementing new microservices that drive key domains.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $112,000 and up to $155,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits.

The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this Role, You Can Expect To :

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code for both new and existing backend features.
  • Partner closely with the mobile team to design and implement APIs for efficient product shipping.
  • Create and maintain monitors and dashboards to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with our product team and other cross-functional partners to launch new features.
  • Work effectively with other technology teams and architects to solve complex problems across various domains.
  • Operate both independently and within a collaborative team environment to meet aggressive schedules and goals.

To Thrive in This Role, You Have :

  • Graduated in the last year with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or are a bootcamp graduate with work experience or strong CS fundamentals.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of the Ruby programming language.
  • Understanding of some of the popular public cloud computing providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • A creative thinker and self-starter with a passion for Chime's mission and our members.
  • Flexibility and enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects.
  • A low ego but high empathy, and are comfortable working well with a wide range of stakeholders.
