Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Rehab Outpatient team. The ideal candidate will provide educational plans to the cardiovascular inpatient population, including post-operative CABG, pre & post-catheterization, and other cardiac related conditions.
The Registered Nurse will develop an individualized education plan based on patient's goals and expectations. The candidate will also support patient education and community programs as required.
- Responsibilities :
- Provide educational plans according to AACVPR guidelines
- Develop individualized educational plan based on patient's goals and expectations
- Facilitate the CABG discharge class
- Actively participate in the patient education and community based programs
- Assess the cardiovascular inpatient population and identify individual risk factors
- Document all patient care activities according to departmental and hospital policies for medical records
Requirements :
- One year of previous experience on a cardiology related patient care unit
- Extensive knowledge of cardiac disease, anatomy and physiology, risk stratification, exercise physiology and diet and nutrition
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
