Responsibilities
The Assistant Nurse Manager Surgical ICU & Progressive Care Surgical Unit will :
- Overseeing the nursing staff and the daily operations of the Surgical ICU and Progressive Care Surgical Unit
- Collaborating with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to optimize patient outcomes and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Managing staff schedules, conducting performance reviews, and providing training and mentorship to nursing staff
- Participating in the recruitment and hiring of nursing personnel
- Ensuring the effective use of resources, including medical supplies and equipment
- Addressing any issues or concerns that may arise within the unit promptly and professionally
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of advancements in critical care and surgical nursing practices.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 years Telemetry experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Management / Leadership experience
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
