Independence Tooling is actively seeking a shipping and receiving associate to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Report to the Independence Tooling Operations Manager
- Receive and register deliveries promptly and accurately, distributing items to appropriate departments
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and monitor stock levels, reordering supplies as needed
- Utilize an ERP system to manage inventory and shipping records
- Organize and clean stock areas regularly, cataloging items efficiently for easy retrieval
- Address any shipping-related issues promptly and collaborate with team members to resolve inventory-handling challenges
- Safely operate hi-los, cranes, and other material-handling equipment (training provided), following safety protocols and maintaining equipment in good working condition
- Occasionally pick up and deliver parts or packages as necessary
- Use hand or power tools as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping or receiving role
- Knowledge of loading and unloading procedures, including how to handle various types of loads safely and efficiently
- Ideally, the candidate has worked in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management
- Experience using ERP systems is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays as needed, with adaptability to fluctuating workloads
- Must possess a valid and current driver's license
