RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP :

Minimum Years of Experience : 1 Year Experience in MedSurg

Traveler Experience : Unit WILL NOT Accept 1st Time Travelers (Must have at least 1 year of travel experience. Prefer 2 years previous travel experience)

Skills : IV Start and Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Management of dysrhythmias, Med / Surg neuro EXPERIENCE

Certs : BCLS, NIH, NIHSS, ACLS (preferred, not required)

Travelers are required to work every other weekend

RTO -7 DAYS MAX if RTO includes weekends, time will be added to end of contract to make up for those dates.

Float Requirement : Floating Required : floating required to any other MS / Tele areas, may include COVID care units. If the traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, we will need to have them make up the weekend shifts based on the needs of the unit.

Frequent floating may be required.

PATIENT DIAGNOSES : We care primarily for Stroke patients, but also care for possible Neurosurgery patients as well as other Neuro diagnoses, such as Epilepsy, Traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and many more

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : We have a 4 BED Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) that is considered Intermediate level and that nurse has 4 : 1

If a traveler calls out of a shift, they are expected to make up that day the same week or at the end of their contract.
