Job Opportunity : Certified Teacher for Special Needs Student
Location : Oceanport, NJ
Hours : Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 2 PM
Rate : $25 - $30 per hour
Are you a dedicated and compassionate certified teacher with a passion for working with students who have special needs? We are seeking a skilled and patient teacher to join our team at our center in Oceanport, NJ, to work with a very behavioral autistic individual.
Role Overview :
As our new teacher, you will be working one-on-one with a student who requires specialized attention and support. Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Instruction : Providing focused teaching in basic math and essential life skills. This includes activities such as matching photos with phrases and helping the student remember important information like their address and parents' phone numbers.
- Support Team : Collaborating with two experienced staff members who have been working with the student for years. They will assist with managing behavioral challenges and providing context and continuity in the student's care.
- Environment : Working across the table from the student in a structured setting designed to facilitate learning and growth.
Qualifications :
- A valid teaching certification.
- Experience or training in special education, particularly with autistic students or those with behavioral challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
