Senior Software Engineer

Insider Intelligence is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Public Platform Team and help us expand and grow our web presence.

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Public Platforms team, you will be working on the applications and infrastructure that are at the very center of how our business and organization presents itself to the broad public, search engines and prospective customers.

You will have a direct impact in the evolution of platforms featuring our marketing and media content as well as products including research publications, data forecasts and charts.

You will work directly on upgrading our systems to the latest tech stack, optimizing application performance to improve UX, CWV and SEO scores, introducing eCommerce functionality into our platform as well as building new features and integrations within existing systems but also with third party platforms and tools.

Key Responsibilities :

• Work on a modern scrum team in flourishing agile environment by participating in planning meetings, daily stand-ups, 1 : 1s and retrospective sessions.
• Develop code as individual contributor and in collaboration with other engineers.
• Mentor fellow engineers.
• Contribute to the full-stack code base for our services
• Participate in the entire Software Development Lifecycle
• Enhance and maintain our existing websites and applications.
• Contribute to our QA process by creating unit tests, reviewing code, and providing valuable feedback in all facets of the software development lifecycle.
• Modernize existing applications and develop new applications utilizing the latest technologies for exceptional performance, UX and SEO score.

Desired Skills & Experience :

• 6+ years in software development.
• Experience working on self-organizing, highly productive, uber-collaborative Agile team.
• Comprehensive understanding of client-side programming languages / technologies. (Javascript / Typescript, latest React / NextJs)
• Familiarity with Server-Side Rendering, web app Performance Optimization and CWV
• Comprehensive understanding of server-side programming languages / technologies (C# / .NET Core - a must-have, Python is a plus).
• Proficiency in building performant and scalable APIs (RESTful / GraphQL)
• Experience with NoSQL such as MongoDB.
• Experience with Relational Databases such as SQL Server, MySql, Postgresql is a plus.
• Experience with distributed systems architecture and microservices in cloud-based environment (AWS / Azure) using containerized applications (Docker, k8s).
• Experience with eCommerce & payment gateways highly preferred.
• Good understanding of design patterns and software best practices.
• Experience creating Unit tests using Jest, Nunit & Moq
• Experience in development of common, reusable & scalable components and services (NuGet & npm packages, Component Library).
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), mastery in code / feature documentation.

Salary & Benefits :

• Salary range : $140,000 - $160,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies).
