Banyan Treatment Centers, Gulf Breeze is currently recruiting for a full-time Cook to join our team in Gulf Breeze, Florida!

Position Details :

• Schedule : Full-time
• Location : On-site presence required in Gulf Breeze, FL
• The Cook provides food services in a residential environment, while communicating with and accessing the support of professional staff.

Essential Functions :

• Works in collaboration with the Managing Chef to help with the development of menus.
• Maintains cleanliness of dining room and kitchen and assure preparation and handling of food in accordance to sanitary and with national and local standards.
• Requisition food supplies and equipment.
• Inspect and taste food for quality.
• Helps in the ordering of food, as needed by Director of Food Services.
• Inspect and supervise serving of food.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of food served.
• Assure preparation of sufficient quantities of food in time to meet meal schedules.
• Assure storage of perishables and avoidance of food spoilage and waste.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and a variety of employees.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum experience required composed of evidence of experience in above noted areas of practice, to include experience in the area of sanitation, hygiene, food preparation.
