About the Team

The global eCommerce US operation team aims to deliver high quality products together with a unique customer experience via TikTok.

The role is responsible for building the TikTok Ecommerce partnership for the TikTok e-commerce business in the US. With more than 1 billion loyal users globally, we believe TikTok is an ideal platform to deliver a brand new and better e-commerce experience to our users.

The Creator Agency Partnership (CAP) team's mission is to empower agencies and creators to help entertain and inspire TikTok users at any point in their shopping journey.

To achieve this, the CAP team actively recruits, incubates and manages CAP agencies, who help achieve this vision by offering scale (1 : many), resourcing, and expertise that helps creators monetize their unique skills and passions through commerce, while inspiring the next generation of TikTok Shop customers and helping brands expand their reach.

As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you are responsible for owning our agency acquisition and incubation strategy to accelerate TikTok Shop creator content.

In this role, you will shape how commerce fits into agency strategies and play a pivotal role in maximizing the value exchange between TikTok Shop, Agencies and Creators.

You will be responsible for identifying and negotiating partnerships with influencer agencies and other influencer stakeholders to drive incremental revenue and creator growth.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with strategy team and partnership managers and category teams to identify acquisition targets
  • Own lead generation, scaled and 1 : 1 acquisition strategy, to accelerate TikTok Shop content
  • Own incentive strategy that motivates agencies and creators
  • Work with key agencies and talent management agencies to onboard and incubate as part of our Creator Agency Partnerships Program
  • You will also own driving awareness for TikTok Shops Creator Agency Partnerships program through case studies highlighting successful partnerships.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Established experience as a Team Lead in sales or business development (influencer marketing agencies, talent / creator management agencies, or similar agencies preferred)
  • Experience building acquisition strategy (Affiliate or Influencer programs preferred)
  • Experience developing effective instructions, pitch decks, and standard operating procedures to Experience driving deal framework with finance & cross-functional partners.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the creator's economy
  • Experience in data-driven prioritization and decision making
  • Team player, fast learner, open to changes

Strong connections with agencies preferred
