About the Opportunity
As a Group Leader , you will foster a welcoming and engaging community by promoting effective classroom management, supporting social-emotional learning (SEL) competencies, and organizing team-building activities.
You’ll work closely with Activity Specialists to ensure students have a meaningful, well-rounded experience. Group Leaders play an integral role in guiding weekly challenges, promoting positive behavior, and helping scholars develop social and emotional skills.
What Qualifies You
- You hold yourself to high professional and ethical standards.
- You have at least 1 year of experience working with Elementary and / or Middle School students in an after-school or summer camp setting.
- You have experience working with diverse populations of students and communities.
- You are flexible and adaptable to program and student needs, willing to work with any age range from K-8.
- You are committed to continuous improvement through professional development.
- Bilingual candidates (especially Spanish speakers) are highly encouraged to apply.

Working hours vary depending on the assigned site location; please review the location hours below.

- Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri : 3-6pm; Wed : 1-6pm
- Jackie Robinson Educational Complex / Scholars 2 : 1573 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10029
- Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri : 3-6pm; Wed : 1-6pm
- P.S. 171 Patrick Henry : 19 E 103rd St, New York, NY 10029
- Mon-Fri : 2-6pm
- Training and Staff meetings may fall outside of these hours
