Part time Occupational Therapist / Occupational therapist assistant
Status : PRN Occupational therapist or Occupational therapist assistant
Salary : $35-45 hourly.
Job Summary : Pattison's Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN OT or COTA to join our multidisciplinary team.
Our organization is committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with multiple disabilities through a range of specialized programs.
These include a unique charter school serving children aged 4 to 21, a therapeutic summer camp, and comprehensive outpatient services.
As an Occupational Therapist at Pattison's Academy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the needs of our students and clients.
You will work collaboratively with a dynamic team of teachers, teacher assistants, and other therapists to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
Your expertise will help to ensure that each individual receives the highest quality of care tailored to their specific needs.
Qualifications :
- Certification for Occupational therapy licenses in South Carolina.
- Experience working with children, or adults with multiple disabilities.
- Strong assessment and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities :
The Occupational therapist’s duties, though not exhaustive, comprise the following :
- Conduct evaluations to assess students' abilities.
- Develop individualized goals and treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Implement therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services to students as indicated by IEP (Individualized Education Program) minutes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in IEP meetings to discuss student progress and update goals as needed.
- Monitoring and documenting campers' progress and adjusting therapy interventions accordingly.
