Release Train Engineer, HSBC Technology & Services (USA) Inc., Buffalo, NY :

Responsible for leading medium to large size complex IT projects as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) for the US Digital Team.

Primarily responsible for the ongoing supply and support of an IT service and serves as a single point of contact for any inquiries related to provision and delivery of the service.

Translates business objectives into high level project and program plans, agrees priorities and sets out roadmap for project delivery.

Ensure that the data required to document operational data is provided via the IT Service Acceptance (ITSA) process and associated non- functional requirements.

Application data is completed within Enterprise Inventory Management system (EIM) to ensure ownership, application structure, lifecycle and linkage to IT Service is clearly defined.

Embed efficient risk and compliance processes and procedures into business-as-usual practices. Conduct regular reviews of the metrics captured and identify potential areas of constraint.

Ensures that IT services comply with the mandatory IT Service Recovery Procedure and supporting Service Continuity Planning Operating Instructions.

Engage with Cyber Security whenever there are new feature enhancements / additions to business application or there are any regulatory deployments / developments.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, Pay Range : $124,970 to $145,300 per year.

Requirements

Must have bachelor's degree or a foreign equivalent in computer science or a closely related field, and 5 years of related work experience.

Employer will accept a 3- or 4-year US or foreign bachelor's degree.

Must have 5 years of experience in :

  • Delivering cutting edge digital Solutions in large financial banks;
  • Technical project management including consumer facing digital application development;
  • Data controls management;
  • IT Service lifecycle management and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL);
  • Project management methodologies including SAFe Agile or Scrum;
  • Digital applications and Mobile Technology;
  • Deploying applications on the Cloud and Cloud migrations;
  • Leading project teams comprising developers and testers;
  • Incident Management, Problem Management and Change / Release Management;
  • DevSecOps; and,
  • Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence or other Kanban tool.
