Duties
and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for all access services while on duty and provides excellent customer service to faculty, students, and other library users while maintaining a professional, positive demeanor at all times.
- Shelve books and assist with other services.
- Maintain a safe and quiet study environment in the library.
- Secure the building (including setting alarms) when closing.
- Follow and enforce all library policies.
- Work up to 15 hours per week (Saturday-Sunday).
- Report to the Head of Access and Outreach Services.
Special Conditions of Employment :
Hours : Saturday 1-9pm, and Sunday 6pm-2am. Must be able to work alternative weekend hours for two weeks each semester during our 24 / 7 study period (10pm-5am) and be flexible to accommodate abbreviated hours of operation during the summer.

- Punctual and reliable attendance.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Google Workspace including Gmail.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn an automated library system to loan items and execute service related tasks.
