Job Description : We are currently seeking a dedicated School-Based Psychologist to join our team for the 2024 / 2025 school year in Port Angeles, WA.
The selected candidate will provide vital psychological services to students, staff, and families, fostering academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth within the school community.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet student needs
- Offer counseling and intervention services to address student social-emotional and behavioral challenges
- Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success and well-being
- Participate actively in multi-disciplinary team meetings, offering insights on student progress and intervention strategies
- Maintain thorough and confidential records of assessment findings, progress notes, and interventions
Qualifications :
- Master s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification as a School Psychologist
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist in the state of Washington
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a school-based setting
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment
