About The Position
Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist Job Specialty : Long Term Care Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Days, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Preferred, 2 years of Speech-Language Pathology experience;
Long Term Care or Rehabilitation experience preferred License : Must possess a valid, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathology license in the state of employment Certifications : CPR required Must-Have : - CCC certified Speech-Language Pathologist- Valid driver's license in the state of employment- Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care Job Description : Develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations.
- Create communication treatment plans that help individuals to be better understood and to better understand others.- Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech-language pathology and audiology services in the facility.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures.
- Provide appropriate care and services to residents in a long-term care setting.
