About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse - Case Manager Job Specialty : Case Management Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 16 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : 72 hours per 2 weeks (Traveler can be called off for 1, 8-hour shift per 2 weeks) Experience : Minimum 2 years, with UR experience preferred (2-5 years required) License : Active RN License Certifications : BLS, ACM-RN (preferred) Must-Have : - Experience with Microsoft Office / Teams - Experience with Epic (negotiable with right candidate) - InterQual - Minimum 3 years required - Adult and Pediatric / Maternity medical UR expertise - Critical Access hospital UR (preferred) Job Description : - Utilize your Case Management experience in an acute hospital setting, serving as a critical asset for utilization review.
- Conduct medical UR for adult, pediatric, and maternity cases, negotiating as necessary based on candidate experience.- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office / Teams and Epic, ensuring accurate and efficient electronic medical record handling.
- Apply judgment and standards using InterQual for medical review processes.- Engage in a schedule of Monday to Friday, fulfilling business hour requirements.
- Wear business casual attire, as scrub colors are not required.- Collaborate effectively within a Magnet Facility, recognized as a Level II Trauma Center.
- Complete a 40-hour orientation to align with facility protocols and expectations.- Display flexibility to work two out of the three major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
- Commit to floating policies across all facilities within the given region, supporting operational needs as required.- Maintain up-to-date references with at least one year of documented employment within the past three years.
- Explore and arrange housing options independently for the duration of the assignment.Please ensure references are provided prior to application submission.
