Software Engineer

Your Role
Special Aerospace Services is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and experienced Software Engineer who will thrive in team and customer collaboration in an embedded avionics / software development and integration program.
The successful candidate is someone with a growth mindset who is hungry to lead change in a fast-paced environment.
Experience Required
- Strong software development experience in C / C++
- 2+ years of work experience in real-time software development (ideally within the Aerospace or Defense sector)
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
- The ability to integrate across multiple functional disciplines with little oversight / direction
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in Agile frameworks and with Agile tools (especially Atlassian suite, Jira / Confluence / Bitbucket (git))
- Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas and information to develop engineering solutions and solve complex issues, including in presentations to outside customers
- Familiarity with engineering specifications (requirements, interface documents) and other engineering data
How you will be Rewarded
The annual salary for this role is $77,775.00 to $116,663.00. Compensation depends on the candidate’s work experience, education / training, and related skills.
