Auto Body Buffer/Finish Technician

As a Reconditioning Service Technician I for Manheim (a Cox Automotive company), you'll work on all sorts of vehicles, preparing all the repaired and primed panels for a new paint job.

What You'll Do

Serves as an entry-level Technician.

With guidance, performs vehicle cleaning and preparation, including washing, wheel cleaning, waxing and buffing, polishing,

Removing finish defects, assistance with paint applications and minor repairs

Inspecting finished body panels for color match and finish texture

Preparing surfaces for buffing

Moving vehicles to support production flow through detailing and painting processes

Perform other duties as assigned by your manager or supervisor

Who You Are

You've got a keen eye for detail, and no imperfection is safe from your watchful eye. Requirements include :

Minimum :

1+ years of relevant experience (body shop and / or prepping experience; collision and / or mechanical estimating experience).

The ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.

Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Preferred :

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Annual Respirator Fit Test documentation.

Valid HAPS Paint Training Certification.

MSCOX

USD 14.38 - 21.59 per hour

Compensation :

Hourly base pay rate is $14.38 - $21.59 / hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and / or an incentive program.

Benefits :

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
