Qualifications :

GED / High School Diploma preferred

Manufacturing Experience a plus

Team player

Strong attention to details

Standing, reaching, bending, pushing etc.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted

Responsibilities : Work Safely

The operator will oversee and manage production of product from raw materials through to final quality control

The operator will produce a variety of rod types based on production schedule set forth by production coordinator

Requires efficiently balancing mixing, extrusion, drying, cutting, and firing steps to maximize overall production and meet customer order requirements

Entails tracking and management of key materials and consumables to ensure uninterrupted and quality production

Works with process engineering and management to troubleshoot quality or production issues

Responsible for completing department production and quality data

Responsible for the start-up, shut-down, and cleanouts of all production equipment in assigned area

Make adjustments to processing parameters to achieve desired final specifications

Store raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods in their proper locations

Operate a forklift to move pallets of raw materials, totes filled with powder, etc

Will need to operate equipment at elevated heights occasionally (ladders / platforms)

Pack finished goods to be shipped as needed

Load / unload trucks as needed

Maintain work areas and equipment

The incumbent will help out in other areas as needed

3rd shift hours are 10 : 30 PM - 6 : 30 AM.

We are looking for 2nd shift or 3rd shift candidates. We would prefer candidates with manufacturing experience, who can work in a team, but also independently.
