UNIT DESCRIPTION :
The Critical Care Center is a 13-bed critical care unit with 24 hour intensivist coverage that serves adult and geriatric patients with medical and / or surgical issues.
Preference will be given, by seniority, to those qualified nurses who were serially displaced within the 18 months following his / her displacement according to MNA contract section 9.4 (f)(1).
Minimum Requirements :
- Current Mass RN license
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification required.
- At least 6months-1 year recent (within the last 12months) critical care experience required; ability to demonstrate competency in core critical care skills : ventilator management, vasoactive and sedation titration, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and management, post STEMI care;
evidence of relevant continuing education
Recommended Requirements :
- BSN & CCRN Preferred.
- Documented professional development activities.
