Joina company that values your skills and experience! Clarifi StaffingSolutions is currently seeking fulltime Special Education Teachersto work with schoolaged students in the elementary schoolsetting.
Duringtheschool year the Special Education Teacher will be responsiblefor effectively collaborating with the student s academic supportteam to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for eachstudent on the caseload.
The Special Education Teacher will alsomonitor student goals and prepare quarterly progressreports.
Responsibilities :
- Providingstudents with instructional materials that address individualizedlearning plans within established lessonplans.
- Administeringdevelopmental testing programs subjectspecific assessments etc. toassess student competency levels and develop individual learningplans.
- Advisingparents and / or legal guardians of student progress communicatingexpectations achievements and developing methods for improvement orreinforcing classroom goals in the homeenvironment.
- Assessingstudent progress towards objectives expectations and / orgoals.
- Collaboratingwith instructional staff other school personnel parents andcommunity resources to improve overall studentoutcomes.
- Demonstratingmethods required to perform classroom and / or subjectspecificassignments to provide an effective program addressing individualstudentrequirements.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accreditedinstitution.
- Teachingcertification in the state of Michigan endorsed in specialeducation
