Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess the necessary skills to support medical professionals in providing high-quality healthcare services.
This position requires a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant education at an accredited institution*
Scheduling is M-Th : 7 : 55am-5 : 00pm and F : 7 : 55-1 : 00 with 30 min lunch
Here are some Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Recording Patient Information : Taking and recording patient history, vital signs, and personal information.
- Assisting with Examinations : Helping physicians during patient examinations and procedures.
- Administering Medications : Giving injections or medications as directed by physicians.
- Performing Basic Lab Tests : Conducting basic laboratory tests on the premises.
- Sterilizing Instruments : Cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and exam rooms.
- Data Entry : Entering patient information into medical records accurately.
- Handling Correspondence : Managing phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication.
- Referrals -Receiving instructions from providers to refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers.
- Patient Education : Providing patients with information about medications, diets, and other healthcare instructions.
- Maintaining Cleanliness : Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all facilities and equipment.
Experience
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is required
- Proficiency in conducting EKG and administering medications
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and physiology
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
