We are partnering with an emerging financial services company seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to enhance their legal team.
In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic legal guidance and support to ensure compliance and effective risk management for their clients and the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial services law and a strong understanding of wealth management practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide legal advice on a wide range of matters related to wealth management, including investment products, fiduciary duties, and regulatory compliance.
- Review, analyze, and draft legal documents, contracts, and agreements to support client transactions and internal policies.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on complex issues related to financial regulations, securities laws, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including portfolio managers, compliance officers, and client advisors, to address legal concerns and mitigate risks effectively.
- Advise senior management on legal strategies, regulatory developments, and best practices to ensure the firm's adherence to legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to any state bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on financial services, securities regulation, or wealth management.
- Proven track record of managing complex legal issues, including compliance matters, contract negotiations, and dispute resolution.
- Strong understanding of wealth management practices, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards.
- Experience working with various investment products and financial instruments is highly desirable.
