We are currently seeking an exceptionally skilled Cyber Security Engineer / Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team, supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense Program Office (GMD).
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), Interim Authority to Test (IATT), Authority to Connect (ATC), and Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
- Utilize the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to analyze and resolve Information Assurance (IA)-related technical challenges.
- Ensure that system security artifacts are created, reviewed, and updated as necessary.
- Verify that all RMF requirements are met, and manage relevant artifacts within the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
- Analyze complex problems to identify root causes and develop actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with other cyber teams to review RMF Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), ensuring timely delivery and quality of cyber artifacts.
- Conduct audits and monitor corrective actions until all issues are resolved.
- Perform vulnerability and risk analysis of systems, leveraging expertise in information systems security.
- Track and monitor Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Review cybersecurity artifacts and technical briefings, working with customers to address findings.
- Ensure that security controls are implemented and functioning effectively throughout the system lifecycle.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 7+ years of related professional experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- DoD 8570 compliant IAM Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
- Experience with DoD's RMF and SSP processes.
Desired Qualifications :
- IAM Level III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
- Experience managing Cyber Task Orders (CTOs), including reporting, mitigation, and compliance.
- Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
