Description

The Fiduciary Business Support Manager I is responsible for management and execution of key fiduciary services governance activities associated with various fiduciary committees associated with CFG’s Delaware limited purpose trust company as well as those of the Bank consistent with expectations of the Bank’s trust powers.

The incumbent will also have accountability for supporting on-going trust administration processes and procedures with customer facing colleagues and Citizens Private Wealth Middle Office.

The incumbent in this role will focus on applying governance knowledge, as well as operational and risk management expertise across various governance committees to support management’s ongoing oversight and administration of fiduciary services as delegated to each committee by the Board.

This includes a meaningful customer experience combined with a culture of risk identification, escalation and timely mitigation of compliance and operational risks.

This position is focused on communicating and driving consistent quality in the execution of the governance activities of each committee associated with Citizens’ fiduciary services business and strategy.

This will be a hybrid role in which primary responsibilities will focus on serving as the committee secretariat and executing on the secretariat’s responsibilities.

The Fiduciary Business Support Manager I will assist in designing scripts / controls, shepherding them through governance, and documenting necessary approvals.

The incumbent will provide guidance to colleagues submitting materials to the governance committee to ensure consistent application of our fiduciary governance responsibilities regardless of geographic location.

Lastly, this role will also include general business support work as a member of the Trust Administration & Governance group.

Primary Responsibilities

Serving as secretariat to the various fiduciary service governance committees that support the Delaware limited purpose trust company and Citizens Bank, N.

A.’s governance committees.

Providing guidance support to activities that require the oversight of specific governance bodies associated with delivery of fiduciary services to ensure best practices are met.

Developing and maintaining appropriate materials and records associated with corporate governance best practices and our fiduciary service operating procedures.

Coordinate with other Citizens Private Wealth colleagues and teams involved in fiduciary services to ensure best practices are met.

Accurately interpreting and applying regulatory, legal, and business line requirements.

  • Proactively assess fiduciary service governance activities for improvement and risk mitigation. Participate in regulatory exams and internal reviews and audits, with a specific focus to support successful exams / audits.
  • Partner with Citizens Private Wealth and CFG colleagues to achieve business growth and retention goals.
  • Participate in the training and development of colleagues involved in fiduciary service governance activities.

Qualifications

Minimum Required :

  • Proven ability to develop executive ready communications and presentations
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience coordinating routines and facilitating meetings
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Demonstrates strong personal drive, individual initiative, a sense of urgency, and responsiveness
  • Well organized and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines with minimal management oversight
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with others in different locations, departments and reporting lines

Preferred :

Experience in fiduciary services (trust administration) corporate governance and operations desired.

Education and Certification / License

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services preferred
  • CTFA certification a plus
