Required Training / Education / Experience :
High school diploma required. Minimum of two years working in the restaurant industry with direct customer interaction. Must possess leadership skills that encourage personal and professional achievement.
Encourage and maintain a positive workplace culture while maintaining company policy and expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Complete focus on the guest experience
- Minimum of 40 hours per week availability
- Responsible for ensuring every guest is greeted warmly when they walk in the door
- A clear understanding of company standards for flow and seating. Keeping seats full
- Hire, train, develop, and discipline Hosts
- Assist General Manager is responsible for hiring, training, developing, and disciplining FOH & BOH teams
- Attend weekly manager meetings to discuss the following
- Expectation to learn and develop into a GM

All potential applicants should be available & willing to work weekends. This is a basic requirement of our management team due to the nature of being a breakfast only restaurant.
The Original Pancake House operates 363 days a year, closed on Christmas Day & Thanksgiving Day. Otherwise we are open 7 days a week from 7 AM to 2 PM Monday - Friday, and 7 AM to 3 PM Saturday and Sunday.
Assistant Managers will work 30-40 hours a week, depending on time of year & business demands. AMs are full-time employees with starting pay of $20-25 / hour, subject to restaurant location & region.
On days you are not the Manager on duty, you will have an opportunity to earn $16.28 to $20 / hr plus tips.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
At The Original Pancake House, the Assistant Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant on the GMs days off, as well as working in a support role for the store with the GM on the weekends.
The AM must provide exceptional customer service, cultivate a positive & nurturing work environment, while proactively developing & managing all members of the staff, both front & back of house.
The AM & GM must have a professional, cohesive working relationship to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly & efficiently on a daily basis.
In collaboration with the General Manager & Lead Line Cook, the Assistant Manager must assist in overall staff hiring, training & development.
Assistant Managers should lead their team by example to uphold company standards & expectations on a daily basis.
