The AWS Threat Research Team is responsible for publishing a rich source of AWS home-grown threat intelligence for AWS services and customers.
We are looking for talented, creative and passionate Software Development Engineers to help us build, launch, and grow our threat intelligence services.
There is a strong security focus to our team’s charter. Our software enables our security engineers to research threats in innovative ways, aggregate data from internal and external sources, and uses this information to deliver services that protect applications on AWS.

As a part of this role, you will :
- Learn how our products work today, and where we want to take them in the future
- Design and implement new features from specification to final test and automation
- Write a lot of high-quality code and mentor other engineers in the same
- Act as a technical lead, influencing other engineers’ designs and coding deliverables
- Work in an agile development environment, where the backlog gets prioritized frequently
- Have fun in a challenging but rewarding environment
Key job responsibilities
- Write high-quality, efficient, and testable production code.
- Build highly available, secure distributed systems at Amazon scale
- Be an end-to-end technical owner of the services you build, including development, testing and support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
