Position Summary
Phoenix Children’s is hiring for the Gastroenterology Clinic for our clinic at 51st Ave / 101 Freeway. This unique position is only 24 hours a week, M - F, NO holidays, weekends or call!!! In this role, the ideal incumbent will have a minimum of 1 year nursing experience, preferable in the gastro or med / surg unit.
Incumbent will be working closely with a team of professionals in the clinic, as well as in the hospital. Come GROW with us, and be a part of this amazing team to make a difference for our kids!
This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum.
This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Education
- Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Experience
Pediatric experience. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
