Position: Bilingual Senior Accountant
Status: Full-Time
Hours: Contract Position, 5 days per week, from 8:30-5:30

Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting tasks.
- Support the validation of accounts and ensure compliance with international accounting standards for public sector IPSAS
- Monitor reconciliation reports of accounts for discrepancies and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Extract data from various systems for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Assist in the review of new audit firms from a user's perspective to ensure usability and effectiveness.
- Update accounting and policies procedures to reflect changes in IPSAS.
- Prepare for year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Utilize Excel extensively for data analysis, reporting, and presentation purposes.
- Utilize SQL, Power BI, and other databases to enhance reporting capabilities and streamline processes.
Requirements:
- Fluent English with working knowledge or understanding of Spanish desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. (CPA)
- Proficiency in Workday is required; experience with SAP and Oracle is a plus.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP or International Accounting Standard (IFRS/IPSAS).
- Experience with closing financial statements and preparing year-end financial reports.
- Highly proficient in Excel with advanced formula and data analysis skills.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, or other databases is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
