Role Overview

The Fire Alarm & Life Safety Systems Construction Manager oversees all phases of fire protection and life safety system installation on a high-profile industrial construction project. This role ensures that all systemsranging from detection and suppression to emergency response integrationare designed, installed, and commissioned in compliance with project specifications, local codes, and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the on-site installation and integration of fire alarm and life safety systems, coordinating across electrical, mechanical, and general trades.
• Manage subcontractor performance, schedules, and compliance with technical drawings, codes, and project milestones.
• Oversee inspection, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure full system functionality and certification readiness.
• Review design and as-built drawings for accuracy, constructability, and adherence to NFPA and local code requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA / QC teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks to reinforce site-wide compliance with fire protection and safety protocols.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client representatives, AHJs, and third-party inspectors regarding LSS systems.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, test records, and progress logs.
