We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to implement advanced algorithms and software for our Prime Air delivery Drone.
In this role, you will work alongside Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) scientists and deliver application software that is responsible for the trajectory generation, state estimation, stability, and control of the Drone.
This person must be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and researchers. We’re looking for someone who innovates, and loves solving hard problems! You will work hard, have fun, and of course, make history!
Export Control License : This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Experience in C++ and Python
- Experience in Aerospace or Robotics
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
