We are actively interviewing for a full-time School Psychologist position for the 2024-2025 school year in Kansas City, Kansas.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a school-based environment, providing essential psychological services to students and families.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for students to identify special education needs and support individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and mentoring to students facing academic, emotional, and social challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop effective strategies and interventions.
- Implement and monitor behavior management programs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide programs promoting mental health and positive behavior.
- Offer crisis intervention and support when necessary.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for school staff on topics related to mental health and educational psychology.
Qualifications :
- Must meet all requirements set by local and state regulations for School Psychologists.
- Proven experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
