The Role
We are on the hunt for a Head of Sales who is highly competitive and data-driven. Drawboard is a 35 person team mostly consisting of technical members, so you’ll be leading a small, but growing sales team, reporting to the CEO.
This will involve everything sales related. You will be well supported by the CEO and other members.
We will place a heavy emphasis on data, and number savvy candidates.
Leading a team of up to 5 people for the next 12 months, with plans to grow quickly as a venture-backed technology company.
Own direct sales, strategic partnerships, sales operations, account management, and customer success.
A lot of process is already in place so there will be a running start, but there is freedom to re-create the playbook. Our previous sales director moved on after four years due to moving back to their home country in Europe and leaves behind a very well-oiled sales machine.
Own and manage our CRM using Hubspot.
Own and manage our outbound process, using reply.io.
Working with outbound email sequence (reply.io) and CRM (Hubspot) tools.
Sending high volume email and fielding initial sales calls.
This role may involve full sales cycle workflow (cold leads through to closing deals and account management).
5+ years experience in tech sales, showing both individual contributor success and management (training, ops, and recruitment) success.

Demonstrated experience with strong reporting skills - reporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly to the broader sales team and management / board.
You’ll need to be comfortable getting your hands dirty understanding user bases through analytics platforms (we use Amplitude).
Demonstrated experience with inside sales outbound strategies and implementation using email sequence processes. This is not a traditional field sales role.
We require that you are excellent with software, both understanding how SaaS software works and using software to carry out software sales - being able to work with Google Sheets, CRM, and other SaaS software with speed.
Lead sales members in Australia and the Americas.
Knowledge of engineering & design industries isn’t required but will be considered favourably (you will need to learn about these industries if you have no experience).
Experience working with product management teams to facilitate customer feedback and support roadmap activity.
While all the above sounds a lot, there’ll be plenty of support, and you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of our strategies.
