Purpose of Position : The Processing Specialist maintains the accuracy of student financial aid information with a primary focus on administering federal, state, and institutional financial aid to students at NKU.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Process student financial aid applications for undergraduate students while working collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Review and assess the student financial aid application to determine aid eligibility.
- Process federal, state, and institutional aid (scholarships, grants, loans, student employment, and agency waivers).
- Reconcile and resolve discrepancies in student financial aid data.
Qualifications :
High school diploma and two years of experience required. Some college courses preferred. Two years of experience in customer service or data modern office practices, procedures, and equipment is highly preferred.
- The ideal candidate will possess good interpersonal and organizational skills, have a pleasant personality, and enjoy helping people in person and on the phone.
- This position requires punctuality and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- The role requires attention to detail and must show maturity in handling confidential information.
Minimum Education : Acceptable Equivalency
Preferred Education : 1-2 Years of College
Minimum Experience : 2 years
Salary : Minimum $16.01 / hour
Pay Grade : S66
