Responsibilities include being available for consultations with obstetric patients in the Emergency Department or hospital-owned clinics, coordinating the transport of critically ill obstetric patients, providing surgical assistance to OB / GYN physicians, and covering the hospitals obstetrical triage unit to evaluate patients presenting with acute symptoms or signs of labor.
