About The Position
Job Title : Technologist / Technician Job Specialty : Sterile Processing Job Duration : 8 Weeks Shift : 7.5 Hours, Night (11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM) Guaranteed Hours : 37.
5 Hours Experience : At least 1 year of experience License : N / A Certifications : CRCST, High School Diploma or equivalent Must-Have : - Proficiency in reprocessing laparoscopic instrumentation- Ability to lift / carry 25 pounds- Manual dexterity and ability to stand, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing- Scarubs provided;
separate footwear for hospital and outside use required Job Description : Responsible for reprocessing laparoscopic instrumentation with SynergyTrak for instrument tracking.
- Handle 40-60 cases per day.- Disassemble, clean, sterilize, reassemble, and package orthopedic & general surgical instruments and sterile supplies according to specifications and department protocols.
- Operate instrument washers, cart washers, autoclaves, dryers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and additional equipment during sterilization procedures.
- Adhere to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts.- Retrieve used trays, instruments, and equipment from various surgical and clinical hospital areas for decontamination.
- Examine instruments and patient care equipment for cleanliness, proper assembly, and functionality.- Identify malfunctioning items, record related information, and promptly notify the supervisor or biomedical engineer.
- Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining department inventory levels.- Perform duties to maintain a contaminant-free work environment.
