Familiar with stroke guidelines for Acute Ischemic and Hemorrhagic strokes License : Valid KY or compact license in hand Certifications : ACLS, NIHSS, BLS Must-Have : ACLS & NIHSS certification required- Meditech EMR experience preferred- Bedside dysphagia screening competency on file- Stroke signs / symptoms competency (e.
g., BE-FAST) Job Description : Provide nursing care in a Vascular Unit specializing in Progressive Care- Manage a blended acuity of med-surg, telemetry, and step-down patients- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5 - 6- Perform art line management (preferred)- Participate in patient assessments and competency in stroke care- Work every other weekend (negotiable)- Attend orientation on Mondays, with documentation due the Tuesday before the start date- Meet requirements for flu vaccine or provide medical / religious exemptionsThis position does not require being on-call and block scheduling is negotiable.
Applicants should reside outside the 65-mile radius restriction if local.
