Reporting directly to the CFO, the Staff Accountant is an essential member of the accounting team, responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Duties / Responsibilities :

Review Financial Statements : meticulously examine financial statements to verify accuracy and legal compliance.

Tax Returns Preparation : prepare and file tax returns, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.

Data Entry and Record Keeping : enter relevant accounting information into business logs and maintain organized financial records.

Cost Efficiency Recommendations : analyze account books to identify areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.

Monthly Bank Settlements : handle monthly bank settlements, ensuring proper reconciliation.

External Audits Support : prepare documentation for external auditors and assist during audits.

Collaboration with Senior Accountants : Staff accountants work closely with senior accountants or the chief financial officer.

Job Requirements

• Accuracy is crucial in financial record-keeping.
• Staff accountants analyze financial data and identify trends.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
• Effective communication within the team and with external auditors.
• Ability to recommend cost-saving measures.
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is common.
