We proudly serve the foam wood pallet leatherpackaging metal fabrication and machine shop and food processingindustries.
The successful candidate will havegreat attention to detail be able to multitask and possessexcellent computer skills. Hours of this parttime position are9 : 30am 4 : 00pm (Monday Tuesday Thursday & Friday) and 10 : 00am4 : 00pm (Wednesday) for a total of 29 hours per week.
This role isonsite in our Glendale Heights office.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Preparecustomer quotations.
- Enter sales orders received by email fax orphone into ERP system. Obtain and verify all customers namesaddresses shipping instructions and billing information partnumbers and specifications of services to be purchased prior toentry.
- Send orderacknowledgements to customers and communicate order status tocustomer from start to finish.
- Respond torequests : identifying discrepancies or problems related to customerpurchase orders.
- Checkstatus of orders and / or expedite orders on behalf of customer.
- Interface with other departments such asproduction or scheduling to provide answers to customers regardingorder status technical questions etc.
- Track customer sales orders and provide proofof delivery to customers upon request.
- Enter and update information in customermanagement database.
- Handle customer complaints and complete allassociated paperwork.
- Assist Regional Sales Manager (RSM) inanswering customer inquiries which includes supporting RSM from theoffice when they are working remotely ortraveling.
- Answercustomer service calls. Includes routing calls screening callstaking messages taking orders giving verbal quotes answeringtechnical questions etc.
REQUIREDSKILLS :
- Minimum 2 years of insidesales and / or industrial customer serviceexperience.
- Proficientuse of computer system word processing and spreadsheetapplications.
- Strongprofessional communication / correspondenceskills.
- Excellent problem resolution andanalytical skills along with being able to exercise independentdecision making within established guidelines.
- Exceptional criticalthinking skills.
- Workeffectively in a team environment.
- Highattention to detail and proven ability to work underpressure.
- Experience withindustrial products helpful.
- Working knowledge of Aptean and / or Made2Managesoftware a plus.
- Mathskills for converting imperial / metric measurements and calculatingprices accordingly.
