A Brief Overview
Performs mammographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, and the use of ingenuity and initiative.
Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as assigned.

What you will do
Perform Mammography imaging using proper technical factors as trained with relation to digital mammography and analog mammography.
Position patients to ensure compressive imaging.
- Perform needle localizations : room setup, supplies, assisting radiologist, positioning, and filming. Label and prepare all sterile medication as stated in policy.
- Maintains accurate logs for QA / QC in both locations for digital mammography systems, bone density systems and stereotactic systems.
- May operate the Hologic Bone Denistometry System.
- Utilizes PACS and Epic to track patient information
- Follows quality control, quality management, and safety / security guidelines
- Provides mammography education to patients.
- Enters complete needle localization and radiology interventional cases into the Journals.
- Ensures consent and screening forms are completed and reviewed prior to the start of a procedure and scanned into RIS system
- Communicates with visitors, patients, medical office staff, physicians, hospital and department staff. Follows policies and procedures regarding environment of care and safety programs and knows the location of the safety manual(s) and the MSDS sheets.
- Provides radiation protection to patients in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards, and follows personal radiation safety practices :
- Attends department, hospital meetings and serves on hospital wide special committees as assigned. .
- Rotates hours, shifts, or days to meet the needs of the hospital.

Experience Qualifications
Prior experience in mammography Preferred

- Knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in their assigned areas.

Licenses and Certifications
- CRT required
- CRT-M required
- Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for HealthcareProviders required
- ARRT - Radiology Tech License required within 1 Year

Base Pay Scale : Generally starting at $57.00 - $77.00 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
