JOB OVERVIEW

Looking for an experienced cloud engineer to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure.

Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure and utilizing Infrastructure as code to ensure our systems meet the needs of our organization.

Providing technical resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems in troubleshooting with various platforms.

DESCRIPTION

Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's cloud-based systems and infrastructure, ensuring effective design of business processes in the cloud.

Work with a variety of different technologies including virtualization software, storage platforms, networking equipment, etc.

to build out robust and reliable cloud computing environments that meet the needs of the organization. Configure cloud infrastructure components like networking and security services.

Responsible for planning and executing the organization's cloud projects and ensuring the organization's cloud infrastructure's reliability, scalability, and security.

Provide software updates on-demand to perform seamless data storage and backup. Work with various cloud technologies, platforms, and deployment models (public, private, hybrid) and services (e.

g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Assist in development of cloud strategy and selection of the cloud deployment model and cloud service model used, dependent upon existing IT investments, business requirements, and the outcomes the organization is hoping to achieve.

Upgrade cloud-based systems to improve operations and protect against data breaches and cybersecurity threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement best practices for cloud security and cost optimization, and stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud technologies.

Develop strategies for disaster management and recovery.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Maintain and operate cloud computing environments for different product lines
  • Create and own the automated design, setup, configuration, and migration of systems in the Azure cloud environments
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet
  • Research and consult on new releases, patches and / or enhancements to the operating systems and security environment
  • Create scripts and tools to ensure compliance of cloud resources with organizational and industry regulations
  • Manage users and resources in AWS and Azure, developing cloud-agnostic policies and tools while educating application teams on the benefits of each cloud environment
  • Work with application owners to formulate, troubleshoot and document application installation and maintenance
  • Design and architect cloud native infrastructure as service to be consumed by other organizations
  • Provide technical advice and mentor other team members
  • Complete responsibilities independently or with minimal supervision
  • Perform routine server setup and maintenance on current Linux operating systems, Windows operating systems, client access software, and other client-server software applications that may be needed utilizing automated tools, like packer, ansible, or native scripts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Education bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of relevant cloud / devops experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Cloud Operations
  • Strong cloud native architecture principles : compute, storage, networks, PaaS, security, cost savings, etc.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience. Terraform, CloudFormation, Git, Ansible, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with modern computing platforms. E.g., Docker, Serverless, Function apps / lambda, etc.
  • Skills working in Linux and Windows environments (strong Windows skills desired) including software scripting in Python, Bash, Powershell, or similar environments
  • Experience developing solutions in large Azure enterprise deployments
  • Experience working in and developing automated solutions for on-premises and cloud environments
  • Monitoring / Alerting

REQUIRED SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE

  • Azure Cloud
  • Windows Server OS
  • Terraform / OpenTofu (IaC)
  • PowerShell, Command Line, Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote,Visio)
  • Azure DevOps with experience in Deployment PIPELINES and Source Code Control
