The Speech-Language Pathologist in Acute Therapy evaluates and treats patients of all ages and serves as a clinical resource for staff and students.
Responsibilities include :
- Collecting case history information and integrating information from patients, family, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
- Conducting assessment procedures for speech and language pathology and developing setting-appropriate care plans.
- Evaluating and implementing intervention plans and utilizing standard outcomes measures / testing.
- Completing documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with patients, family, and significant others throughout the rehabilitation process and providing education and family training.
