In this new model, we are not commissioners' holding the power. We are Te Tiriti o Waitangi partners and allies, we are listeners of diverse voices, we are holders of the space for communities and whānau to lead.

We are a team of teams who live within and reflect the communities we serve.

We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process.

We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu

The Director, Living Well has overall responsibility for improving health outcomes and system performance in the area of Living Well which includes rural health, referred services, pharmacy, primary care, planned care, unplanned care and ambulance.

Overseeing over $3 billion of primary and community care expenditure, this role will lead a team in re-designing new service and funding models that improve equity of access and outcome.

You're a Senior Leader that brings with you 10+ years commissioning experience in varied environments. Your ability to establish and maintain positive and collaborative relationships will be key in developing and strengthening the Groups' capabilities and achieving outcomes.

You have a natural talent for providing strategic direction, while also guiding and supporting the wellbeing and development needs of your team.

Needs to draw on extensive commissioning experience in varied environments, stretching over 10-15 years including :

• Demonstrated experience in leading system and service design
• Experience leading highly skilled, high performing and engaged management and professional teams in a multi-faceted and demanding environment
• Demonstrated experience in the development of high quality and timely business strategies and initiatives across a large organisation
• Demonstrated experience at a leadership level for developing, maintaining and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Māori and Pacific Peoples and groups
• Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and anticipate the impact of decisions on long-term outcomes, including financial outcomes, and develop / recommend responses in consultation with key stakeholders
• A relevant tertiary or professional qualification
