About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Utilization Review Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 16 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years in utilization review required License : Active RN license or compact license in compliance with guidelines Certifications : Required certifications must be up-to-date or have renewal plans Must-Have : - 2+ years of relevant experience- Experience with Cerner preferred- Driver's license- BSN preferred for certain positions- Available to work holidays as needed Job Description : Perform and participate as part of the Case Management team to support a collaborative effort to facilitate quality patient care.
- Integrate and coordinate various aspects of service delivery, care facilitation, payor authorizations, service access, discharge and post-discharge activities, and utilization review.
- Identify patients that meet criteria for case management services using an appropriate screening and assessment process.
- Communicate necessary information to stakeholders and educate patients and families.- Plan effectively to meet patient needs, manage authorizations and length of stay, and promote efficient utilization of resources.
- Maintain reliable systems to document, track, and monitor assigned cases.- Perform other job functions as assigned or requested.
Ensure all submissions include the best time to contact, vaccination status, and planned certification renewals if needed.
Local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility. Orientation provided for 16 hours.
