Inventory Specialist
75% of day working in the office
25% of the day on the warehouse floor
Job Functions
- Perform the daily cycle count. Count, clean, research, submit
- Process all packing slips in SAP and interact with purchasing on any discrepancies
- Print all orders that are tied to put-away tickets and evaluate what orders can wait for more material to arrive.
- Communicate with sales team on sale order statuses
- Work closely with DOT team on orders that can ship out and what needs to be staged
- Schedule LTL and full truck load shipments daily
- Make location changes on put-aways that are needed
- Assist in checking in material when needed
- Package up multiple piece items for easier and more accurate order picking
- Perform various weekly and monthly reports and processes outlined by warehouse manager. Shared calendar will be used to schedule out the tasks
- Attach BOL paperwork to deliveries for LTL shipments and turn paperwork to office with all local deliveries and completed put aways
- Help follow up on any outstanding deliveries, and put aways that are open
- Ensure that all PO’s are received daily and put aways have been generated
- Point of contact for all purchase order local pickups. Print off purchase orders, confirm pickup location and stage in pickup bin
- Investigate any inventory issues that arise when order picking is taking place
- Assist with checking material on orders shipping out
- Enter warehouse transfers of material between various warehouses
- Receive warehouse transfers once material has officially been moved
