Looking to the future, Smart Data Solutions has ambitious growth plans for the next few years and is currently seeking Support Engineers to join our Clearinghouse team!
What you’ll be doing?
Understanding Clearinghouse Operations :
- Spearhead the implementation of Healthcare Clearinghouse practices , including mastery over X12 EDI transactions (837, 835, 270 / 271, 276 / 277), and ensure compliance for CAQH requirements .
- Gain a deep understanding of the clearinghouse’s operations, including its role in facilitating transactions between different parties.
Customer Interface Development :
- Design and develop user interfaces that allow customers to interact with the clearinghouse efficiently.
- Ensure the interface is user-friendly, secure, and complies with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Meet project deadlines.
System Configuration :
- Configure the backend systems to support the clearinghouse operations, including setting up databases, servers, and network configurations.
- Maintain necessary protocols for secure data.
Compliance and Security :
- Ensure that the system meets all regulatory requirements and standards for data privacy and security.
- Stay updated with changes in process that may affect the clearinghouse operations and make necessary adjustments to the system.
Testing and Quality Assurance :
- Conduct thorough testing of the customer interface and system configurations to ensure reliability and performance.
- Address any issues found during testing and refine the system accordingly.
Documentation and Support :
- Create comprehensive documentation for the system configuration and customer interface.
- Provide ongoing support and training to users of the clearinghouse system.
- Monitor customer performance until support hand-off.
Communication :
- Communicates to customers (via emails and phone calls) about SDS workflows.
- Communicates to client of any critical production issues that may affect a customer’s production process.
- Communicates to development manager or COO on any critical production issues related to client.
- Adheres to SDS’s courteous and professional, written and verbal, communication standards.
- Consistently high rating on customer satisfaction surveys.
- Responds to all customer emails and phone calls promptly and courteously in accordance with SDS communication policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Production :
- Manages daily production for assigned customers.
- No batches or claims ever delayed or overlooked due to technical issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills :
- Proficiency with Java

Requirements :
- At least a 4-year technical degree (or equivalent)
- 0-5 years similar experience
- Experience with technologies listed in previous section

Location :
This position is located in the Dallas, TX office. This is a hybrid position with requirements of 3 days in office per week.
