JAX Implants & Dentures is seeking a highly-trainable and self-motivated dental assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for a highly qualified dental assistant to preform the following;
Dental Assistant Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist dental providers in delivering care to patients; perform chair-side procedures according to applicable scope-of-practice laws and regulations, perform lab procedures (for example, take impressions, create and trim models, in-office milling, temporary crown fabrication, denture, and partial denture polishing), and taking diagnostic patient x-rays.
- Prepare exam rooms by cleaning and preparing operatory per OSHA and CDC guidelines prior to patient appointments (for example, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring necessary equipment is ready);
assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating dentists' needs throughout the appointment.
- Update and maintain patient dental records; handle general clinic administrative work; maintain operatories and the dental office, and efficiently direct patient flow.
- Lead and participate in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities;
- coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved;
and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.
Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners;
analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices;
implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy, and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.
Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications :
- Completion of the accredited training program and / or national DANB Certified or Registered Dental Assistant CDA / RDA , depending on state regulations
- Coronal polishing, nitrous oxide, sealant placement, and / or expanded functions / duties
- Certifications / permits per state regulations
- Current Basic Life Support cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Job Type : Full-time in person
Pay : $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
