RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform laboratory analysis following documented procedures.
- This includes performing PCR (polymerase chain reaction) based molecular assays, possessing basic knowledge of molecular biology and molecular technologies, and executing all tasks with attention to details.
- Verify and report laboratory findings in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Follow all established regulations related to specimen processing, QC, lab safety, etc.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Associate#39;s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required
- Bachelorrsquo;s Degree in medical technology, related life science, or applied science field.
- 1 year experience and / or training in a laboratory setting
- ASCP certification preferred.
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University.
If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
